Simple exercise to practice proper breathing finger stretching

Attention: This exercise uses some finger stretching techniques which need to be done carefully!

Breath: Inhale and exhale with your entire body. If you’re having trouble maintaining the exhale, take a moment to catch your breath as you exhale and then inhale again. Inhale through your nose and exhale all the air out of your mouth (don’t swallow). Repeat the inhale-exhale breath several times for each exercise. Begin with your left thumb and ring finger and work your way to your right hand.

paddling with arms

First, stretch your ring finger toward your right palm and then rotate your ring finger to the left palm. Return to the starting position and repeat with your pinky. Inhale through your nose and exhale all the air out of your mouth (don’t swallow). This exercise increases the stretch of your ring finger and thumb muscles and can make your hands and fingers more flexible. Lift your arms up toward your shoulders. Exhale all the air out of your mouth. Stay in the neutral position for two breaths. Repeat the process with the left and right hands. Try to feel how your arms move closer together.
